Corporations across the nation have hired professional feng shui consultants to ensure their work environments support their employees. But they also incorporate feng shui to ensure that their revenues grow as well. Learn to apply feng shui principles in your office AND in your fundraising efforts.  This ancient Asian philosophy is fun to learn and is a great tool for motivating you toclear outthe clutter that tends to gather around busy people. Then, apply special techniques and tips for encouraging new energy and new opportunity to show up.

Ethics in the Industry, a Panel Discussion of Issues in Advancement-Advancement professionals, by virtue of their responsibilities within the academic community, represent their colleges, universities, and schools to the larger society. So they have a special duty to exemplify the best qualities of their institutions while observing the highest standards of personal and professional conduct. Join CASE President John Lippincott and a panel of senior advancement professionals as they offer their views on the importance of ethics in our profession--and what it means to you in your daily activities.

How to Conduct a Creative Session

Though you may not have access -- or the funds -- to hire a marketing and advertising firm, you can assemble and conduct your own in-house creative session. Learn about the players that comprise a successful creative team and how to identify the qualities


in these types of personalities among your staff or volunteers. Then, learn techniques and processes for conducting a creative session that get people beyond the blank page -- all with a
focus on the objective or need at hand for your fundraising and/or marketing efforts. This is a hands-on, how-to session that allows participants to experience the process


themselves in order to replicate it at their own office. Leave with tools and tricks for encouraging creativity in a non-stressful, energizing way.

Is That Your Water Glass or Mine?
3:45 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

If you are confused by table settings, unsure about what to do with your napkin, or want some tips for your next networking social, come to this session and brush up on current dining and professional etiquette.  Knowing and practicing proper etiquette, whether you are the guest or the host, helps you feel more comfortable and confident so that you can attend to whatever business is at hand.
